This morning after breakfast at your hotel, board the bus for the Golden Circle Tour of Iceland. The tour covers the essential Golden Circle of Iceland. You'll visit historic Thingvellir National Park, home of the ancient Viking parliament and the divide between the American and Eurasian continental plates. Gullfoss sits on the mighty Hvita glacial river which has its origins at the Langjokull glacier. At the Geysir hot springs area, marvel at Strokkur geyser which spouts steam every few minutes with amazing force. Visit the Geothermal bakery at Fontana and experience geothermal energy first hand! This evening, depart on a Northern Lights Tour. Watching the fantastic colors of the Northern Lights dance across the arctic sky is an unforgettable experience, and Iceland is one of the best places to see them. They are mostly observed on crisp, still evenings, and the tour heads away from the city lights to give you the best chance of witnessing this spectacular natural phenomenon. (B)
Note: The Northern Lights excursion might be moved to the day of arrival if the Northern Lights forecast is better for that day. This will only be finalized at the last minute.
