We'll Be Back on the Road Again Soon!

Well, here it is December and we’re sure you’re looking forward to saying goodbye to 2020 as much as we are! This year began for us in January with a wonderful tour through Japan, including a visit to the Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival. Our first tour to this beautiful country - full of rich traditions and incredible textiles. Little did we know the fate of the world to come over the course of the year ahead!

The pandemic of Covid-19 has had devastating outcomes all over the world. There is not a single person who has not been affected in some way. Many people and businesses have been drastically affected and our thoughts and hearts go out to everyone – may we keep positive and strong to see this through.

Despite the effects of lockdowns, restrictions, and otherwise changes to routine, it has been a busy year for quilt guilds, quilt shops, quilt instructors, and many other industries, as we find ways to pivot and adapt to the changes required that the pandemic has thrown at us. We have been in constant contact with our travel industry partners, as things continue to evolve. At this moment, we are still in a wait and see holding pattern – with fingers and toes crossed for a return to safe international travel in 2021.

We will most definitely keep you informed of any and all updates. In the meantime, we continue to plan quilt and textile tours to new and favorite locations. Please read on for information about our current plans for tours in 2021 – 2022.

As we approach the holiday season, we wish you health and happiness in the days and months ahead. We are thinking of you and look forward to getting back on the road with you again soon.

- Debbi & Kim

2021 Tour Information
Celtic Quilt Tours has been pleased to offer tours for quilters, their family and friends for many years. Since our beginning we’ve hosted hundreds of travelers, many of whom have become good friends that we look forward to travelling with on each tour.

Our tours are planned well in advance (2+ years) and, working together with industry experts in response to the recent global pandemic, we’ve decided to make some changes to our plans for 2021.

Newfoundland 2020 - Rescheduled to May 2021
Visit the Newfoundland Tour pages for details. Wait list available.

Ireland/Scotland 2021 - July 2021
After careful consideration and discussions with our travel partner, we feel comfortable going ahead with our plans for this tour in July 2021. We will be announcing the itinerary and registration details in early Spring. Please check back here for updates.

Japan 2021 - Postponed to January 2022
After experiencing such an incredible tour of Tokyo, Kyoto, and the Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival this past January (2020), we were excited to plan our return to Japan in January 2021. After careful consideration and discussions with our travel partner, we’ve decided to postpone this tour until January 2022. Full tour details will be announced at a later date.

Prague & Vienna 2021 - Postponed to April 2022
This is a new tour destination for us and although it was planned for April 2021, we've decided to postponed this tour to April 2022. Please check back here for updates.

As these uncertain days unfold, we continue to keep on top of the most current information. As stated by one of our tour partners, “Travel is a personal choice, and the COVID-19 outbreak is ever-changing, as travel counselors, we’re here to provide you with the most current information and advice so you can make the best decision for you."

We care deeply about the safety and well-being of our travelers (past and future) and continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. If we can answer any questions or provide further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
